Course Outcome: By the end of the course, participants will be able to:

- Plan a basic press campaign
- Set up a press contacts list and establish contact with key local and specialist media
- Recognise the positive potential of the media as an opportunity and not regard the media as a threat
- Prioritise press relations work in an overcrowded schedule
Target Audience: This one day course is aimed at people working in performing arts organisations whose role may include press relations and publicity; marketing people who want to extend their role into press relations or arts administrators who are new to the area.
Approach: Based on many years of practical experience in press relations in the arts, the course is informal, participatory and anecdotal, and responding to the varying needs of the participants.
