Course Outcome: By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Consider what is appropriate work for overseas touring; - Understand the required planning process and time-frames; - Identify means of investigating funding opportunities; - Establish partnerships and contacts; - Design an appropriate marketing pack; - Prepare a budget; - Pitch their project; - Understand the type of contract they could expect; - Comprehend practical issues such as travel and accommodation; - Formulate ideas of networking opportunities. |
| Target Audience: This one day course is aimed at companies or individuals who are new to, or thinking about, international touring and who wish to develop a clear view of the issues involved in working abroad. |
| Approach: A group approach where experience is shared. Practical work involves developing a project, budgeting it, and pitching it. Time will be spent on looking at marketing materials and participants will be asked to bring examples of their past publicity. |
