Course Outcome: By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- recognise why it is important to plan – internal and external reasons - describe the stages involved in a planning process - identify some tools to assist them to assess the current position of the organisation – purpose and mission, internal and external influences, stakeholder analysis - understand what is needed to implement a plan – timescales, responsibilities, aims and objectives, resource allocation, milestones and targets, monitoring - feel confident to be able to draw up a strategic/business plan – statement of purpose, strategy, aims and objectives, timescales, implementation plan, monitoring the plan. |
