ITC Webinar: Ethical Employment

We understand that this is a hugely challenging time for our independent theatre sector. Being part of a community, peer learning and professional support feel more important now than ever.

Due to the popularity of the ITC Members Zoom Meetings we are hosting a series of larger online panel discussions, inviting guest speakers to talk on the topic and then opening up to questions. These sessions will be chaired by ITC CEO Charlotte Jones.

This session will focus on ethical employment and include a guest speaker (Charlotte Bence) from our partners at Equity.An interactive session looking at questions such as:
How do we promote and carry out ethical practice in times of financial uncertainty?
How do we look after our staff when everyone is working from home?
How do we look after our freelancers in uncertain times?
How do we create fair contracts to take account of possible cancellation or postponement?
How do we engage our staff and freelancers in planning for the future?
What if we have to make major changes?
What if we have to make redundancies?

This session aims to create a supportive environment to discuss these issues with peers and help us to be the best employers we can


This session will last approximately seventy five minutes from 10.00 - 11.15am.
