ITC Board Elections March 2025

ITC works to a board of 15 Directors drawn from, and elected by, our members. Board members can serve a maximum of two three-year terms (6 years in total) and must work for an ITC member company or be an independent member of ITC. It is important to us that our Board reflects the wide diversity of our membership across the UK. Our board is a vital resource for the sector and is involved in shaping ITC’s strategy, advocacy and service to the members. We are inviting nominations for our board vacancies in March 2025 at our AGM.

This is what our current Co-Chair Keisha Thompson has to say about being on the ITC Board:

Governance is no joke. But that does not mean that it cannot be fun. It is no surprise to me that many people think that governance is not for them. Firstly, through a misconception of what it involves. (When I first got approached to be a board member, at a relatively young age, I had no idea what a board was.) The second common thought is – I don’t have the expertise for that!

The special thing about ITC board members is that they are all members of ITC, so that nips the second issue in the bud. By being a part of the ITC family, you will have something to contribute to the board. It’s fair to wonder what you would get out of it. I can name a few things: oversight and influence in the sector, camaraderie and endless networking opportunities. I have been on the board during a tumultuous time in my career and I have found both my membership and position on the board to be invaluable for support. It is an absolute privilege to be the current co-Chair with Ria Parry (The North Wall) and work with the ITC team. Small but mighty. We have a unique position in the sector and I am always excited for our meetings. So what do you think? Tempted?

Keisha Thompson, Co-Chair of ITC
