Fly High Stories was founded by old friends, director Jemma Gross and writer Rachel Barnett-Jones, to create work for family audiences with an emphasis on growth mindset and confidence building. Both mothers, we were inspired by a desire to create accessible stories on stage, screen and radio which our children would be captivated by.  We create work which encompasses our motto of ‘Learning Through Laughing’ and which both children AND adults love to watch together.

Before the pandemic struck we were an international touring theatre company focussing on making work for family audiences, run by two experienced theatre producers (one of whom is also a writer and the other of whom is also a director).

When the theatres closed and all our work was cancelled we re -envisaged ourselves as a company making original IP for digital and screen.

Subsequently we received funding from Arts Council England to create a pilot animation and that has launched our interest in creating original IP and working with others to bring it to life for the screen.

We are rich in experience from our varied professional creative careers and are already making great leaps with conversations currently on the table with major broadcasters and other production companies.

We also offer the Fly High Stories production management service.  Come and chat to us about your production needs.
