If you work in the Midlands’ theatre sector, join the East Meets West Hub.

We’re a Birmingham-based theatre company, led by Co-Directors Gareth Nicholls and Philip Holyman in collaboration with Producer Zoe Roberts. ˜Thou Shalt Not Bore’ is our only commandment: we make transformative art that puts our audiences experience first, its forms and contexts informed by the audiences we’re making it for or with.

Recent projects include:
MoonFest, a cross-arts festival attracting 10k+ visitors (incl. 31% first-time visitors) at Midlands Arts Centre;
Rocket Fuel, an immersive dining experience inspired by Neil Armstrong’s meal plan during his journey to the Moon;
I Ain’t Afraid of No Ghost, a production made specifically for rural touring  – 2019 winner, NRTF Performance of the Year;
The Stolen Year, an audio installation investigating the experiences of older people during the COVID pandemic.

We’re an Associate Company at Midlands Arts Centre and the Associate Company in Residence at the University of Birmingham’s Department of Drama & Theatre Arts.

As part of our wider work, we curate East Meets West, a network for the East and West Midlands theatre-making community.

Co-Director Gareth Nicholls is currently ITC’s Vice-Chair.

ITC is a community of over 450 performing arts companies and producers. Join us to take advantage of the considerable benefits that we offer our members.
