This 2-hour online course will run through the fundamentals of creating and managing a company budget. Maureen will demystify how this connects with project and production budgets, examine basic budgeting procedures, jargon and give you the understanding you’ll need to start to plan, budget and reforecast.

This course is aimed at people who are new to running the company’s finances or already have financial responsibilities with project budgets but wish to expand their knowledge and skill base.
This two-hour online Zoom session is presented as a workshop with the opportunity to ask questions.
Maureen McCulloch is a senior lecturer in accounting at Oxford Brookes University. She is a qualified accountant specialising in the not-for-profit sector, particularly theatre. She has been the Finance Director of The Reading Agency, Malvern Theatres and the Swan Theatre in Worcester. She has been a freelance trainer in the arts for twenty years.
