This course is aimed at anyone who is interested in starting a performing arts company or new independent producers. It will give you the basics that will underpin your artistic vision when you start out and help you to avoid fundamental mistakes.
The course is an informal mix of the trainer’s presentation and exercises. There will be the opportunity to ask questions and talk about your own situation. Course notes and reference materials are provided.
The morning is led by Jackie Elliman, ITC’s Legal & Industrial Relations Manager. Jackie studied Drama at Manchester University and Law at the College of Law and has worked for Equity, UK Theatre/SOLT and a wide range of performing arts companies.
The afternoon is led by Charlotte Jones, Chief Executive of ITC. Charlotte trained as a solicitor and has been Chief Executive of ITC since 2000 and was previously Deputy Director responsible for management advice, union negotiations and dispute resolution.
This course is offered at a reduced rate of £75+VAT (£90) to assist those starting new companies.
