Target Audience

This course is for anyone who has to negotiate contracts in their work. Though it starts with basic principles, it will also be helpful to those wishing to refresh their knowledge and improve their skills.

Approach

The course offers a demystifying explanation of the basics of contract law through an informal mix of the trainer’s presentation and group discussion and the opportunity to practice negotiation techniques using practical exercises. Course notes and reference materials are provided.

Trainer

Charlotte Jones is Chief Executive of ITC. She trained as a lawyer and has many years’ experience of negotiating contracts and representing ITC and its members to funders, supporters, politicians, the press and media, development agencies and the wider creative and cultural sector.
