ITC  Conference:  “Who Cares?”

We’ll be starting the day with a set of provocations impacting our sector and join together in interactive peer-learning breakouts to address these issues and problem-solve.

For the first time since our last ITC Conference was cancelled in March 2020, we are inviting our members back for a live, national event to be held at our home in Deptford and in partnership with The Albany. During this day-long conference, we will examine what it means to care for ourselves, our teams and our communities.

The independent sector has been resourceful, active, imaginative, and effective through these turbulent times. We want to shine a spotlight on what ITC members have done well, recognise the achievements and share the learning. 

Mental health and well-being have been severely compromised by isolation, stress, uncertainty and fear for the future. We want to explore practical solutions to this and launch a new ITC Project – ‘Learning through Listening – Healing through Hearing’.  

We recognise the pressures that managers and boards have been under over these challenging times and through facilitated sessions will look at how these people can manage their responsibilities as employers, improve their practice and get support from each other.

How to get here:  The Albany is located in the heart of Deptford, just off the high street: Douglas Way, Deptford, London, SE8 4AG

Two minutes walk from step-free Deptford Station (Rail) and eight minutes walk from New Cross Station (Rail and Overground). With multiple bus routes and a nearby DLR link.

The Albany’s Box Office, theatre, studios and café are all on the ground floor, as well as some of the meeting rooms. They also have fully accessible toilets on the ground floor and lift access to the first-floor meeting rooms.

Deptford Station and News Cross stations have step-free access. 

Limited disabled parking is available to the rear of the building, there are nearby, free parking spaces for Blue Badge holders in Frankham Street car park and there is also free on-street parking on Watson Street and Octavius Street. 

Assistance animals can be brought into any space.
