Organisational Membership Cost
Our annual organisational membership fees are generally based on turnover (total income excluding capital grants) from the previous financial year.
However, in certain circumstances, we may adjust this, for example, if your previous year’s turnover differs significantly from the current financial year’s budgeted income.

Organisation Membership for Performing Arts Companies. Our Organisation Membership is designed for performing arts companies of all sizes and at every stage of development. Whether you are an incorporated company or not, you are welcome to join, and we can assist with incorporation when you are ready.
Organisational members, including hub, associates, and academics, benefit from multiple logins, enabling colleagues across your team to independently access the numerous benefits of ITC membership .
Individual Membership for Freelance Producers. Our Individual Membership is tailored for freelance producers or artists who align with ITC values and seek guidance on managing their operations and employing staff. As ITC welcomes an increasing number of producers, we strive to meet their specific needs. While our membership often provides the right fit, there are instances where we might recommend union membership for those needing freelancer support.
Please note that Individual Membership covers only the work you create, you will only receive one login. We cannot advise you on behalf of another organisation you are working for if they are not a member. However, if you refer them to join ITC, we can offer them an introductory discount. For more details, please contact Zoe to discuss further.
ITC Hub membership is ideal for organisations that support smaller, low-turnover companies and artists who share ITC’s values. As a hub member, your whole team, board, and independent artists or emerging companies you work with can benefit from:
- Unlimited legal, managerial, and financial advice with a performing arts focus (If the advice needed for your associates is extensive, we may suggest they join as full ITC members)
- Discounts on our training courses
- Exclusive invitations to our online forums and in-person events and conferences
- Access to our help sheets and template contracts
- Our regular newsletters and industry updates
In addition, the artists and companies you support can receive 20% off their first year of full membership.

Academic Membership is available for Universities and Drama Schools
It offers:
- All resources available to ITC members.
- An in-person session for students for an introduction to ITC at a suitable time during academic year, presented by ITC.
- Members discounts on all courses, for current students and staff.
- The option for our in-house courses for reduced / members rate.
- Alumni companies/artists get 20% off their first year of full membership, when applying within the first two years of graduating.
- Alumni can access affiliate rate discount on ITC courses, when booking within the first two years of graduating.
Optional Extra:
- One day course on Starting A Performing Arts Company for our discounted members rate, saving you £400
Non- Members Rate: £1200 + VAT (£1440) | Members Rate: £800 + VAT (£960) - Additional half day course and online session at discounted rates

No, our training is open to both members and non-members. However, ITC members benefit from discounted training rates. We also offer training discounts to members of affiliate organisations including Equity, Bectu, FST, Outdoor Arts UK, Pipa, Tonic.
Yes, ITC membership fees are an allowable expense, so make sure you ask for funding to cover it. The Arts Council recognises ITC membership as promoting good governance, sustainability and employment practices in the sector.
ITC offer exclusive services to help you register your company and/or apply for charitable status. As an ITC member, you have access to tailored support that ensures your organisational setup is seamless and efficient. Note that these services incur an additional charge.
Company Formation Support
Get expert guidance on creating your Articles of Association or updating the Articles of an existing company by Special Resolution. Benefit from our comprehensive company formation support for just £120 + VAT.
Charitable Status Application
Apply for charitable status with our complete application package. This includes customised Articles of Association, detailed guidance on completing the application form, and full support throughout the process of registering as a Charitable Incorporated Association or obtaining charitable status for an existing company. £450 + VAT.
