Live and Looking Forward

Since May this year, ITC has been getting back to programming live events and training. After a slow start, we finally ran a sold out Tour Booking course with Mark Makin this week on the hottest day of the year. The enthusiasm of participants and the joy of being back in a room with members was an inspiration despite the 40⁰C.

We have recognized the value of online activity during the pandemic and have reached a different demographic of members with our Zoom training, forums and conferences but the extra level of peer-learning, sharing, engagement, networking, and laughter that comes with the live is irreplaceable. Members had travelled from Swansea, Nottingham, Suffolk, Somerset, Cheltenham and Manchester to join the live course on Tuesday – thank you all for your determination and commitment!

Looking forward ITC is keen to extend our training offer both in terms of content, media and geographical reach. (Have you checked The Independent Theatre Podcast?)

We plan to create a series of online videos on particular topics (10-20 minutes). We will continue to run some of our courses on Zoom and we are keen to develop our range of live courses both around the UK and with new topics. We want to recruit new practitioner trainers and are offering to train interested members to deliver training. So we want to hear a few things from you:

1) Is there a course you would like to see ITC develop?

2) Would you like to host one of ITC’s courses in your region/country?

3) Do you have a course idea you would like to have support in developing for ITC?

4) Would you be interested in training to become an ITC trainer?

5) Do you have anything else you would like to suggest regarding ITC training and events?

Email your ideas to Rachel

On 21st November we are running our first live ITC conference (for nearly 3 years!) here at The Albany ITC home. Save the date and prepare to come and engage in peer learning, networking, debate and agenda-setting.

Look forward to seeing you live, walking, breathing, talking, listening, laughing and having a drink on us.
