Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory

South West

Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory (stf) is recognised as one of the UK's leading independent, ensemble theatre companies offering a dynamic touring and education programme in the UK and internationally.
Since our very first productions in 2000 of King Lear and A Midsummer Night's Dream directed by founder, Andrew Hilton, stf has become renowned for its critically acclaimed Shakespeare which has attracted 20,000 people each year in Bristol and thousands more on tour.
The Company provides rare training opportunities for recent graduate actors and university and college students as well as offering an Education Programme for young people through its workshops in schools, colleges and universities. The Company is indebted to the support it receives from its Friends, Patrons and Sponsors and from Trust and Grant providers.
